So the other day i go into the local audio shop here in my town...Im new to all this pretty much and I had just picked up a hifonics 1605d and a 15" Kicker L7.....Well, Im explaining to the guy what i have speaker wise,,,,and he is like why did u do that........(keep in mind, he is a mtx dealer).........I'm just trying to get some help with what wire i need,,,Well he gets me some wire,,and while he is ringing me up im asking him about the 9500 series mtx he has on the counter..........he says yea thats the big boy................He also says,,,,,,,,,THE 7500 SERIES MTX SPEAKERS WILL BLOW THAT L7 AWAY............

My question is,,,,,,,,,is that a true statement,,,,,,,,,,,i just dont see alot of people talking about mtx in here and just wondering how good they are.......is the 7500 series really a better speaker..........

rule #1: dont listen to anything a dealer says if he uses the term blow away, better, yo that thang will beat so much harder, etc...

2) arnt they only like 400rms for the 15s?

3) Jackhammer FTW

x2, except jackhammer ftl. Its pretty worthless if you ask me.

yeah, please tell me you are joking about the jackhammer... that is the biggest most pathetic waste...

as far as anything else MTX makes, i would stay away from all of them. havent heard the 9500 series, but i still wouldnt buy one personally. i think that you will be happier with your L7.

Diffrent strokes for different folks. I have heard a pair of 9500's with 2 MTX 1501d's puhing them. It was a very hard hitting set-up. Don't get me wrong, I love my L7's. But MTX does put out some good stuff.

MTX RFL's are loud as shit. I've never seen people running kicker come close to what I've seen these do.

and ive also seen people use kickers for daily, unlike the RFL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

MTX makes some good stuff. Don't know about the 7500's but I like the 9500's better than the L7's.

I have no idea what the loudest kicker vehicle is. I just know that I've personally seen 2 15" RFL's do a 171.xx in a tracker.

x2, not saying the mtx's arent capbable drivers, just not as good as kicker imo, and i sell mtx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Ive posted this pic before, and somehow I doubt this is the last time i'll post it.

Stay away from MTX, they have the cheapest easiest to crack cones in the industry....and not just the 9500 series (pictured above) but every single series of the fake alumnium cones.

And whoever said the 7500 could beat a L7 (as much as I dislike L7's) ...they still should be slapped. Its junk I tell you, JUNK.

and ive been thru alot of subwoofers in my years, these have consistantly been the worst mass produced mainstream woofers produced. MTF FTL

and their 1501d's **** too.
