Changing Stock Speakers

I have the Factory Deck and Factory speakers right now

A 12" Kicker CVT12, and a Kicker 400.1 (I think on number), is on Order

I may consider changing the door speakers after i get the sub installed... Is there anything i need to do to get them changed, behind the deck etc.. or can i just remove wires from stock speakers and exchange with new speakers (red and black i suppose).. How can i also tell how many Continuous watts are being supplied to the speakers, so i dont get something too powerful for what i can handle..

My truck is a Mitsubishi Raider, has the Stock Soundsystem (not alpine).. This is basically the same truck as the Dodge Dakota..

This Deck is also appearing 08 Models of Chryslers, Jeeps, Dodges, and Mitsus.

If you're running them off the hu, they won't get too loud. The average stock h/u puts out between 10-25 rms. Most aftermarket component speakers are 75-125 rms. But if you're okay with the stock h/u, pos to pos, neg to neg
