Changing out my DD comps for Memphis Coax's

first off imaging SUCKS with the mids and tweeters.. refraction is high so is absorbsion.. also getting them proper power will make a huge difference.. id sugggest improving you current install before buying another set thats a down grade..

seal the mids up better, get 8 ft of sound deadner and do both doors..

place your tweeter around eye level on axis avoiding any hard surface to mimize reflection/refraction..

bring the mids up high as possible.. usually you get the best blending when there 0 to 15 degrees on axis.. try to keep the same distance between your mids and tweeter in reference to you ear..

also keeping the left and right channel seperated as good as possible.. this helps stereo seperation..

get a good amp, you can get a cadence ia2 for 250 and its a great amp..

even if you have to redo your door panels, its worth the money vs tring to buy 10 speakers..

Are you talking Memphis Sync components or actual regular coax? The Memphis Syncs are basically the old Aria speaker sets and those have actually won world titles in SQ both under the Memphis banner and Aria. The mid is pretty forgiving as far as mounting locations go. IMO when you use syncs in a coax config they are better in kick panels. This is going back a a few years but I actually had a few people i know locally switch from Diamond hexs and boston acoustics to the syncs and actually like it better. If you do not have an eq though I wouldn't switch until I did have one.
