Audioque HD3 15 setup advice...

I have a brand new audioque hd3 15 inch sub and i need advice on a good amp to run it.. i drive a 1997 honda accord. and i want it to be loud. i also need advice on the size of a box to put it in and what to tune it to. also a good capacitor for the setup. i have an optima yellowtop but i think a new altanator would help any ideas? thanks.

Yeah man do not get the cap!!!!!! I have my HDC3 in a 4.2 cf tuned to 38hz and it slams.

I'd shoot for around 4.0-4.5 on the box... 35-40hz tuning and give it a good 1500 rms at least... Not sure on your budget but I'd look into a Kicker zx1500, they seem to be popular for those subs lol... Sundown 1500's as well

my price range in pretty high.. not saying i wana spend 1000 plus on an amp but anything reasonable for an amp that will make this thing slap

buy that mm4000 from the classified right now if the coil will work with it.

yeah i would try tunning around 4.0 cu and im running mine on a kicker kx2500.1 and it slams! i got my refurbished amp for like 550 on ebay. Your car is about the same size as mine also. i drive a 1997 toyota corolla.

D1... so it sounds like the kiker amp is the best way to go? wat about the sundown audio amps? i heard theyre good too

For rap 38-40Hz would be best, but if you listen to a lot of rock then 35Hz gives a flatter response IMO. I've tried both tunings and each sub is in around 4 cubes.

Sundown 1500D at .5ohm or a 3000D at 1ohm would work nicely. I'm VERY happy with my AQ/SD combo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
