The t/s parameters probably changed a bunch going from one coil on each sub to two...I'm surprised you can even tell that you're running the same subs.

you possibly messed up the subs from only running one coil which is whats causing that noise :/

Im a little confused about how it was wired before, but if you were only running 1 coil off of each sub, and it was in parallel and not series, your amp would be seeing 2 ohms not 8 which would explain why there is not much of a difference in volume. kinda tired so math is not working so good right now.

by using one coil your using half of your subs potential... that's like using 1 sub when you have 2 in the box... that's what all the wowing is about.
