Changed my subwoofer set up. Opinions?

Thanks,..I'll definatly check out those vids. So, ..my system is going to ****, ..no matter what type of enclosure I build? Im NOT trying to compete with it, ..just want to have something that sounds decent, and will be fairly loud when turned up. If I bought the wrong equipment, maybe you can enlighten me on what I SHOULD have bought? Its not too late, ...I have money, ...I can buy all new stuff. Suggestions on what to buy?

Again, this leaves an opening for bashing by those that don't know better. But, the truth is the truth. The math is already out there and it is way the hell beyond Highschool level....lol. Your synopsis is true, but basically you are in charge of just how bad it will ****. If we limit the system to that Level 4 sub, you end up with a relatively spikey response. Some folks dig that crap, but I firmly believe it's because they haven't been exposed to a sub system that actually CAN play a flat wide bandwidth.

Mainly, the engineer I mentioned needs your maximum available dimensions. Something you can build outside and take in and out of the trunk....not have to break or saw into pieces to remove it. He has a fee, as would any REAL engineering service. But for what he does, it's extremely cheap. $57.50 gets you in a LONG line of people waiting to get designs done....folks from around the world. $80 gets you in the "white status" group, which come before all others, but you pop up at the end of that line, however long or short it may be. It is becoming more popular with dealers, who need things done right then and there, so don't count on being up next if you catch my drift. If he gets the dimensions and all the other info, he can tell you if he can salvage the LVL 4 12" or if it just won't do half as well as a number of other subs. Lemme know the max dimensions and I'll relay that info to him for you.

This is my box, that Im building. It's 1.75cu ft, and should be at 34hz. Made from .75 mdf, and powered with 2300 watts 1ohm, from a DD M2a. Going in the SC300 trunk. Opinions?

You could probably go a little larger on the box (will gain you efficiency). Do minimum 6" round port (flared would be better). You can download winISD (freeware) to model and calculate port length.

IMO that's not the greatest sub for daily/music (I'd say mainly because of the super stiff suspension), but it should do well enough. The dominant factor in overall sound will be your car's accoustics. Position of the box and orientation of sub/port(s) will probably make as much difference as a different sub would.

Do have realistic expectations...trunk cars are difficult to get loud.
