change in dbs

i change out my port from a 9x9x10 sq port to a 12'' round port my dbs went down from 141.1 to 140.5 .6 dbs. i can understand that it could go down, but what i dont understand is everything seems louder to my ear. and the body panels shake alot more now. why is it not louder on the meter?

it is should be tuned to 38 but i peaked at 36 the old sq port was 38 two. i think my problem is the ports two close to the bottom

yea i cant figure out what to do. i am thinking cutting down the port 3 inches to make it 7 inches from the bottom makeing it 10 inches long. i am not rebuilding to next year there are only two more comps i am going to

on a nother note i went from 138.3 with 2 cvrs 750watts to 141.1 with 4 i want 145+
