what is it

take all your subs out and check them, smell the pole vents, check the coils, push on the cones... if its smelling something is bad. I have burned glue off the coil/former before and it smelled pretty bad haha... either that or you blew an amp and thats what you smell?

amp ant blowen its comeing from the port when i push on the cones the move with no noise. amps are cold to the touch. i dont smell like glue if glue smells the same as coils when your breaking them in this smells exatcly like a sorted wire. i am going to pull the subs waiting for my drill to charge

you are going to smell burning glue off the voice coil former holding the coil together, when the glue gives, the coil is going to scratch, and then you will know (if its that)...

good luck, you need to get like two good subs and keep your amps, get rid of the CVR's (if you like Kicker get some CVX's, they are the balls and the taint in my opinion).

lets not turn this into a pissing contest about subs, i just made a suggestion since he already has Kickers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

crx not trying to say anything just my two cents worh. I love kickers for the price of cvr but as far as cvx for the price there are better subs that is all I was trying to say. Not saying kicker sucks I have used it for years just throwing out info what he does with it is up to him. Kicker will do the job if done right not trying to bash them in any way

its all good man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just trying to keep things on track so we can help a brotha out!

cant aford new subs so unforcanly i am not getting new ones. i would love to get new ones but ant going to happen. i never had this smell before ever and i have blown this subs before. toatly diffrent smell

ok got to get my son from school the subs where hot really hot at the cone. when i get back i am take out the subs. and checking them. could it be the wires going to the sub not being big enough. there 14 i used a plug cord for the wire. like i said i am broke really broke

maybe you have turned your gains up a little or changed settings on the head unit Or maybe just a really good song lol Just be carefull with it and if you start to smell it a lot I would turn down gains on amps

ok the only thing i change was i turned my hu to 40hz on the eq and 50 hz on the subwoofers i have a pioneer 4900dvd hu it happend playing tones. it does it on music to i have the gains set so that the dmm reads out at 50.1 50.2 on both everything is seeming to match. it sounds really g.ood right now. hitting really hard
