Is this a worthless idea? I have a nice Audax 100w 8 ohm driver i think would make a pretty nice center channel in my Tahoe. Although i only have one... and i have the room in between the 2 seats on the floor, facing up towards the center of the vehicle. But is it even worth doing? Figured id ask before i went and built a little enclosure for it!

Thanks!

Is this a worthless idea?
No.

A lot of people have done it for their 2-channel stereo setups with both good and bad results. And then obviously anyone w/ 5.1 surround in their vehicle also has a center.

The main problem I've heard complained about in 2-channel non-surround setups is that it pulls everything too far center.

Although i only have one... and i have the room in between the 2 seats on the floor, facing up towards the center of the vehicle.
Placing it there is a worthless idea, however.

But is it even worth doing?
Your idea; No, not worth doing.

It doesn't sound like you have the knowledge, skill or equipment to properly execute a center channel (that's not an insult, just reality)....so I would heavily caution against it.
