There's probably a good chance that they will fit since you have a mid size sedan. Check
Crutchfield and/or SoundDomain; although they don't give you the mounting depth, but rather only show you what fits "that they sell". According to my
Crutchfield magazine a 2002 Maxima has a front depth of 2.5".
The "speacilty" audio brands are know not to be heard of. For some odd reason BestBuy, Circuit City, and other "chain" electronic stores don't have the better stuff. In my opinion BB and CC are the last place i would go for speakers; i mean you can get something far better than MTX and Rockford for the same price online and not have to deal with salesman. Have you heard of "speacilty" brands such as Boston Accoustic, DEI (Viper), Dynaudio, Image Dynamics, and Phoenixgold?
I don't know why CDT's are better, but they use the finest material, engineers have years of experience (20+), no "marketing gemics" are played here. Unlike the regulare "boom-boom" mass produced audio speakers from Rockford, MTX, Sony, ect...there's no "marketing middle man" that tells how to make the speakers look "cool", so its harder for the engineers to produce a well designed speaker; what i'm trying to say is that CDT's aren't massed produce, "cool" looking speakers rather made well by a company that actuall cares about music reproduction. Have you ever seen how funckly designed Rockford amps are? Have you ever noticed the designes on speaker grills are by Polk, Sony, Pioneer, Keenwood are? They make them look like "rims" or something. Unfortunatly, they also limite there engineers concepts by having theme use cheap material to save money, make them look "cool" wich may intrude on efficent speaker designe. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
