ok, ss, are you saying that you had to 1) listen @ 100W with a >= 100W amp

or

2) You just needed a >=100W amp and can listen at any level and be happy?

I listened to them off of the deck. They were ok.

I listened to them off of 50 watts. They improved vastly, but not up to what I was expecting.

I listend to them off of 100 watts. This was the ticket for me.

i was thinking of buying the crunch blackmaxx BLX4175 for these, what u think, say 175 x 4 @ 4ohms but crunch rates their amps at 14 volts, so what would it be a 12-13 volts ?

i just checked the specs of the mtx 4405 which i an runnug and its outting out 25 watts @ 4ohms @ 12 volts, ugly an only 100 to my ref 1230 12" sub now thats ugly !!

And even at a full 14.4 it's ~ 65 watts.
