CDA 9835 vs Excelon x891

I have an excelon now with the from usb thing and i'm not really a fan of the usb for some reason, it got old fast. I've been reading about older alpine decks and saw a 9835 on ebay and it ends today.

My question is, what kind of difference would i get going from a kenwood to this high end alpine..im not running active if that means anything

Couple more bands of eq, time alignment, different slopes for the crossover. I have had them both and prefer the 9835.

Only thing is getting into the menus is kind of a pain but you get use to it. I am going back to one of them or the new 9887 when it comes out.
