Hey guys, just want to make sure I got this right.

my apline crapped on me, and i bought another alpine.

I took my old alpine out and everything is basically the same. cept my new one has this one pink line. May be for the ipod or something but i dont have one so i dont really care.

So basically all i have to do is cut those wires already there and just connect my new wires to them and electrical tape them up and slide it back in?

okay thanks in advance if someone can confirm that

Cuz some wires have these extravegent ends and such. And I guess the grounding i can splice into the grounding as well.

Okay that's it!

Thanks!

as long as you have a wiring harness that adapts your cd player to your stock wiring, all you have to do is color match the wires, and hook the same ones together, and you are good. everything is color coded

Yep! That's what I did it all worked out great.

And thank god, one more day on the radio station and I would killed myself.

I think I'm gonna go to a hardware store and pick up some of those plastic caps instead of using electrical tape though, for a more complete finish.

Thanks for everything!

I think you will be just fine to be honest. Id run it and check it after hammering on it quite a bit and check the temp on the wire by hand to see...
