CD Changer help

Hi all-

Just recently my CD Changer stopped working. It's aftermarket and came with my vehicle (CDX-FM1279 by Pioneer). The unit will not power on and no display is shown on my changer "head-unit", that controls the player. I've tested the power and a solid 12v is on both leads (one for ignition and one always on). I've taken the unit apart and can't seem to find a fuse anywhere. I've hit the reset button on the unit and unplugged the battery for 1/2 hour to let the whole vehicle reset ... still nothing.

Is there anything I've overlooking? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks all.

P.S. In case it matters, my vehicle is an '03 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Thanks.

Just one questions. Lets say somehow that display cable got cut, the unit should still power-on by opening the door and letting me eject the CD cartridge? Is this logic correct?
