CCA 4GA Quality

I am gathering parts slowly for a new install into my Kia Soul 2014. Bumper to bumper the car is 163 inches. The planned setup is to replace door speakers, install a sub, and install two amps.

The amps

Q1-1200D Amplifier

Q4-120

I plan to run the 1200D at 2 Ohms/860RMS and the 120 at 4 Ohms/120RMSx4. I understand the real basics about CCA vs OFC, but I am reading that length and power is a variable as well.

I am wondering if my power draw for both those amps can be sustained with a 4 gauge Shok CCA wire with lengths less than 163 inches?

Depends in strand count
Off the Shok website,

4 AWG

Insulator Material: Flexible PVC

Condutor Material: Copper Coated Aluminum

Strand Count: 2009

Current Capacity: 120A

Available Colours : Red, Blue, Grey

Though it may seem like the normal day to day cable for the common install, the Shok 4 awg cable is used in our competition SQ cars!

2 runs of cca4 gauge or 1 run cca 0 gauge. Split to 4 gauge for the amps
Oh, wait.. Let me clarify that I will be running two different 4 guage CCA wires for the individual amps. Two wires, Two amps.

So you're saying with two that I should be fine?

Yes you should be fine then. I'd still do the bigger 0 gauge tho leaves room to upgrade. The 4 gauge doesn't

Man I have an unused 0 gauge Execution Audio CCA kit that I can sell you for 35 shipped

Dont mess with that 4 gauge. Do it right one time, and leave that as one thing you will never have to touch again for the time being

Thank you, but I am trigger happy I guess... I pulled the trigger and purchased wires already.
