**SPOILER**...Sorry for those who already looked
Just got back from watching the newest 007, Casino Royale. It was a bit of a disappointment for me to be honest. Don't get me wrong, Im a huge Bond fan though. But this movie was bad. It was completely out of character for Bond. I understand some of the stuff seeing as how this was supposed to be Bonds "first time". Like the whole sloppy kill in the begining in the bathroom. And how the villian wasnt exactly of caliber to the rest of the other villians; the villian this time was meerly a banker to the type of villians bond deal's with in the future. Also there was the fact that Bond didnt recieve many gadgets. But none of these things bother me. The fact that Bond himself was so out of character. The licking the blood off the girls finger was really wierd. And how he disrespected the girl was something that TOTALLY blew me out of the water. He physically grabbed her in anger and called her an idiot. And overall, the movie was very sloppily put together. You should Never leave a Bond movie with the feeling of "What the heck just happened". Bond movies are supposed to be about hot girls, fast cars, and lots of explosions. I mean, who was the guy that Bond killed at the end? After some thought, I realized it was probably Vesper's husband/boyfriend but I feel that should have been a littler clearer. And the Bond Girl was distinguished way too late in the movie. I do LOVE this movie for one thing though. It really sets how come Bond never falls in love later on. Because as he puts it, He loved before and was hurt. I picked up on this really early...before he even told Vesper he loved her. I give this movie huge props for touching on this. And the Aston Martin was very beautiful. Its a shame we only saw it for about 2 minutes total...just to watch it get totalled.
