might be an easy/obvious thing for most of u guys but how do you cut the holes for the sub and the port after carpeting? just follow it with a box cutter?

i take a razor blade and meet it up against the mdf and just follow the speaker hole around...

so you want the edges to stick out farther? so there is room for it to tuck in?

alright i am still really confused i guess ill have to do some trial and error before i figure this out. Wow i feel like an idiot.

u cut the edge of the sides, and cut a groove in the front top bottom and back. the side slides into each

yes, the edges will stick out an extra ~1/4", then there will be a very small groove that you can actually tuck the carpet in.
