Carpeting Tutorial

what size for the rabbeting and straight cut bit?
I use a 3/8" straight bit, and a rabbit bit that cuts the rabbit 3/8" into the panel (half of 3/4"). Make sense?

Basically like the assembly. how does it all fit togheter to get those little groves. I mustg have read this thread 800 times.
You route the groove into the front, back, bottom and top and rabbit the edges of the sides. Then the side's rabbited edge will fit into the grooves.

Is there any other way you can make the carpet seemless without having a router to where you can tuck the carpet in?
I do it like BJ does, except I use my table saw to router 1/4" off each edge of the side panels (put the fence as close to the blade as possible, and about 3/16" deep), and that way you don't have to use your router at all.

Yea, Ive seen people do it this way as well. Works great if you dont have a router.
