Carpeting Tutorial

Yea makes sense. You will have to play with it to get the depth you need. You just have to adjust it and test fit your rabbited edge piece in there until you have a 1/16" gap or so.

So what I would do, is setup your rabbet bit first, and make sure it fits snugly into the groove, then adjust your depth of your straight cut bit from there.

Gotcha. That just depends on how far you want your sides inset. Mine Inset a 1/4" so that cut is made an inch from the edge. Its just personal preference.
