^^ indeed, but as you may know, if i want to do something, I am financing it, NO ONE else is paying for it. thats just the way it goes. I am going to find an article on it however and include that in my argument. i will deaden the trunk and hopefully that will be enough for right now. it also made me kinda pissed that he starts this AFTER i use my OWN 300 on the subwoofer AND he brings it up while i'm building the box for it...

Get that box built, all your equipment ready to be installed, and stay over at a firends house that has a garage for a night. Come home the next day with it all installed. Ride around with it for a few weeks, let him find out on his own and tell how long its been in there. Hopefully the correct logic will win out ("Well if it hasn't blown up after a few weeks, it might just be safe").
