Car Will Not Turn Off

I did fix this, but I don't know what the problem would have been.

I installed a new amp, remote, power, and ground all in correctly so I turned my car on to test it and it would not turn off(the car). I literally had the key out of the ignition and I could still drive, it was like my car was hot wired...

I couldn't think of doing anything but yanking out my power and ground from the amp(while the car was on) and that did fix it and I have not had problems since.

I've never heard of such a thing, why would it do this?

P.S. The amp turned out to not be working(no output but it would turn on)

2012 Ford Focus

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you hooked up the 12v wire to your ignition and it was touching your power wire from the battery or on the inside of the amp the two wires were touching.
Oh ok.. so the remote wire is my ignition wire and it was touching.. that makes sense knowing that I don't have a 12v power wire in my car.

Thanks
