car whines on warm-up?

Well lately when ive started my car in the morning to warm up its been making a whining noise like when u dont have any power stearing fluid, and when i turn the wheel its worse, so i am assuming it is the powere steering

I checked the fluid level and its good and it goes away after the car warms up, but does that mean by power steering pump could be going out, or is it just because its cold? anyone know about how but they go for?

Car: 1992 buick regal 4-door (eng: 3800)

um, would i check it for abrasions and its tension??? i'll look when it was changed last, ho woften is it supposed to be changed and where is it located? sry im a newb, i'll try and look myself, but any help is appreciated

Maybe, if its only doing this while its still warming up, it could be the belt, from wear and tear on it heating and cooling. Its a long shot, but thats what was wrong with my friends tahoe after all this *****ign and whining.

My car does the same thing. The power steering pump is taking a shit. Mines been doing it for 3 months. Only time time will tell. Does yours leak fluid?

I had a lesabre w/ the same motor, power steering pump is sticking... which needs to be replaced...

well actually, i hit a curb while trying to park (lol i know) and it was making a loud *** noise when i turned the wheel and my dad pointed out it was my power steering, i checked it and it was low so after filling it a few times, it miraculously hasnt leaked since, but now its making this whining noise and when i turn the wheel its making the same sound as before but it has power steering fluid!!! my guess was the pump 2, what am i looking at for parts? ne1 know if i could get to it myself on the 3800 engine. THANKS!!!!!
