Car troubles. help

When i hit the gas the brake light and the charge battery light come on. (Its like flicking a light switch up and down as fast as you can and when up the lights are on and it feels like your hitting the break)

ecu could of went bad. check all under hood wiring for shorts first. what kind of car?

Check your alternator belt, look to see if its shiny on the side facing the pulley.

If it is, replace that belt, its slipping.

The belts are all new. he told me that. but i checked anyways and it is not shiny and looks new.

it really sounds like a bad alt. I know you said it tested fine but those are all symptoms of a dying alt.

Well, that was the easy answer (sorry).

Anything else will probably need to be diagnosed by a mechanic.

i doubt it is. i am calling the mechanic tuesday if it is not solved.

Great. i broke the new(form junkyard) headlight putting it in. and this happened . coudl i use electrical tape around that to run to the store to try to get one?

Squeeze it a little with a pair of pliers to deform it and pound it on. That should get you to the store no problem.
