ok this is pretty random but I am having a small problem with my car. Sometimes I can not get my key out of the slot. I start my car up drive my car to where i wanna go i wanna get out but i have to **** around with my key for awhile to get it out.

Anyone know why this is or how i could fix it?

thanks

take it to the dealer and have them repalce the barrell -- do this before you cant remove your key--or worse, cant turn the key and start your car... (assuming it is the tumblers wearing out) happened to sisters caddy... its a biyatch

is this a stick or automatic?... if auto make sure it is all the way in park, push on your brake all the way. newer vehicles have little solenoid switches that wear out that can affect this too. What year/make is your car?

x 2 to the dealer, should fix it for ya with not to high of a cost , same thing happened to my 93 grand am i had 3 years ago, found out it was a solenoid switch wore out and the barrell

im assuming its console shift...in my monte carlo, it used to do that and turns out the button u push in to shift it, it was sticking so it wouldnt 'lock' when it was in park, preventing the key from being turned to the off position and then pulled out
