Car problems possibly from system?

I have a 96 plymouth neon and it has been having alot of problems lately. In the last 2 years the fuel pump has gone out, timing belt, and some laser timer thing. I do not believe these were caused by my system but a couple weeks ago the Engine control module has gone out, so we replaced that and the fuel pump fuse pops every now and again. My dad believes since the sub is right above the fuel pump it may be messing with it, so ive turned the sub off(awaiting flame) and it hasnt popped in the last day. Any of you have any problems with your car audio effecting your car? Other than that i believe my neon is just an old car and all this trouble is inevitable.

thats a negative, problems from the system are gonna be obvious such as your rear view mirror falling off like in my gf's car today lol while i was qualifying for bass race

Well like most of the others have already stated, if I was going to guess because the car is older and up hear in Canada stuff usually starts to rust from the salt in the winters. The all that bass in your trunk rattling around and stuff it might have loosened the 12V or ground on the fuel pump and could be shortin out. Just throwing a guess off the top of my head and hopefully get ya to start checking everthing and anything. Good luck
