Car died now battery acting weird

My car died the other day and i had to get a jump. Now when i start the car it sounds and starts like the battery is almost dead. Also when i pull my key out of the ignition its hard to pull out(as if it were sticky).

Is my battery going? do i need a new one?

Another question: How old is the vehicle?

If you haven't swapped out the alternator before and it's an older car (8+ yrs), in my experience, when the batt/alternator goes, the other usually isn't far behind.

Once it's started, are you still cranking out amps from the alternator?

yea could def be alt, not sure about key being sticky though, might wanna check your ignition switch if all else fails

the car is an 02 explorer the battery is like 4 yrs old. its died twice before.

bring it to a auto parts store and have them load test the battery...
