dumb question i know but i have some old alpine type r 6.5 componets with the crossovers laying around, is there a way i can hook them up to my computer

right now i have a logitech x230 speakers and a sub hooked up but lookin for better sound:

System Components 2 speakers, subwoofer

Speaker Type Active

Nominal Output Power (Total) 32 Watt

Max (RMS) Output Power (Total) 64 Watt

Response Bandwidth 40 - 20000 Hz

Signal-To-Noise Ratio 96 dB

Audio Amplifier Integrated

Connectivity Technology Wired

Controls Subwoofer volume control, volume

Driver Details Speakers Included 2 x satellite speaker - 6 Watt - wired

1 x subwoofer - 20 Watt - wired

Details Satellite speaker : 2 x high/midrange driver - 2" - Frequency Directed Dual Driver (FDD2)

Im thinking of going the DIY way and use the Logitech amps/crossovers to power the Alpine's and make enclosures for them. But how do i go about wiring them up with out ruining anything

sure but your gonna need to use a amplifier ( the home type not the car type) to power the speakers .then just run a headphone to rca cable from pc soundcard to the amp powering the speakers . the amp you have now may work but you will need to check the ohm load of the speakers its made for to see if it will work with the alpines .

the satallites = Left & Right: 6 watts RMS x 2 (into 4 ohms, @ 1khz, @ 10% THD)

or would i just be better off trying to get more bass by building a new/ bigger box
