car audio withdraws....

I totaled my car a few weeks ago and it hasnt been to big of a deal because of the location of my house. Now, i am sitting at home with nothing to do. I would kill to have a car that i can install, tune, or just listen to some audio other than my home stuff. I have all my working equipment staring me in the face and crying with me because it wants to be used as well.

I think im going to start on some enclosures for my mids and tweets, a rack for my 5 channel amp, and a smaller sealed box for the sub so i will have a neat little setup for the dorm.... I am going to find one of my old or friends old computers to steal the power supply out of.

Boo addictive hobbies.

yeah i know it, but i dont think im going to get a new ride for a year or so. I am going to clemson in a couple months and will ride my bike most places so i dont need a car..... its going to be for ever.

BTW im more so SQ so loud aint no thang.

Man...I know how you feel.

I go away to school, and it's the one of the worst feelings in the world not having a car. Especially if you have one and can't drive it for some reason.

I had to ditch my car at home and I have yet to drive it since January. Seeing people drive by with systems and whatnot makes it even worse lol.

Most of the time when I get bored I'll take my car out for a drive and just listen to music just to get my mind of things for a bit. But I cant

Now when I'm bored at school (rarely ever bored) I have to resort to my laptop speakers. lol.

yep. I have my HT, but its nothing special. I miss the loud mids.... i just want more midbass from my home speakers. The sub stage blends nicely, but im missing a little volume. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i found a tower i can rip the power supply out of and mod so that i can run my car audio in my dorm next year. I am going to work on a cool little rack for the amp, hu, boxes for the mids, and then smaller box for the sub. I am excited to start work on another "build" !!!

yeah, i agree. I believe that is why i miss the output of my car audio system.

I miss my system and car soo much. The local car dealer has the same year solara with more options all black, tinted windows, 17" black rims with chrome lip. i want it so bad its not funny. I would tint the tail lights, install my system, and be the happiest man on earth.

yeah my setup has been out of comiission for about a month cause im rebuilding, i was waiting on money from droped mazda, which i know im never gonna get to order some parts, and now they're out of stock..

so now i gotta do something else, but i need more money now cause i gotta change alot more, and nothing is selling, **** economy =[

Get yourself a nice little dorm system to hold you over. I have a nice HT system when I had my house that has been in storage for years, because it is way to much for an apartment complex. HT is my bag anymore, just kills me not to be able to jam on it. I have a Phillips 5.1 right now, which is OKay at best, but I can't wait to get another house! Should have never sold the one I flipped.........because it was the only house I had, lol!

I would love to get into HT but cash is low. I love the sound of the stuff i have now... My 15"IDQv2 ad some bose 201 hooked up to a sony 5.1. The "amp" has a mic with auto-alignment which is cool, but if i want to jam out with solid midbass i just cant and it kills me.
