On JL website says that the HD is not recommended for the 10w6

I could not find that info on JL's site. Could you take a screenshot and post it? Although I did find this review:

Good to know. I ended up buying the HD. Got a custom box also made for the sub. Do you guys recommend a wiring kit?

Definitely get an amp kit. At least a 4 AWG. I have been eyeballing those boxes but I really want to build another one. I have no doubt your system is going to sound awesome.

I wish I saw this thread earlier. I have a BRAND NEW set of Infinity Kappa 2-Way 6x8's that I can't use since my Ford is gone.

I have the RD400/4 and love it. The newer JD stuff is better than the previous JX as well. I say get the RD if you can afford the extra amount.
