car audio school

I am looking in to attending a car audio school. Most of the ones I have found are either 4 or 8 weeks. I have looked through all of the brochures, called, and emailed, but I still can't figure out which one is the best. They all say they are better than the other and they cover more material regardless of the time frame. Has anyone actually attended, or known anyone who has attended any school for car audio? How was it? What is the best one? Thanks for any help.

I went to the Installer Institute. It was awesome, besides the fact I was in Daytona for most of the summer... You do learn a lot and they make it pretty easy to pass the MECP. The custom training is pretty cool too. As far as preparing you for a career in installing, experience still covers more than any school could teach you. All in all, I'd recommend II definitley, if you have the money. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they didn't cover any mobile video, which personally I feel is an important area of modern installation.

no one else has attended schools? an electrical class doesn't cover custom fiberglassing, ohm laws, kick panels, and other things needed to know for custom intallations.
