or

2.) Comprehensive Written Exam

at the end of a course/class.

You would most likey learn more by doing a research paper...especially if it is somthing you are interested in. I remember some of the papers I wrote, but never any tests I've taken //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

definately research paper. on a paper it might require more work but you know what you want and how to get it. for an exam, you could be studying for 102134345 hours and that subject not be asked on the test.

most teachers give you hints as to what choice they really want you to make...if you choose wrong they are apt to make what ever you choose way harder than what you should have choosen.

def. do a paper, for one you have more work...BUT YOU HAVE ALOT MORE TIME TO DO IT. and plus you will learn your subject more

Research paper. I'd rather have everything in front of me, and have a chance to edit my work, than possibly blank on a test that I might have spent countless hours studying for. The payoff is a lot greater for a paper, IMO.

I would have to see how hard the teachers tests are, both are easy if you are prepared.
