I have him quoted at $1050 total right now which leaves me making $400. I'm sure if I explain it to him I could get more out of it no problem.

those mustang trunk openings s*ck @ss. There's a decent amount of cubic feet inside but have godawful clearance. Still going with the hds 15? Make sure he knows that he's not going to get as loud as a hatchback because his car is a trunk. it makes it a lot harder to get loud, He'll still be bumpin it though.

. Sooner or later he'll need to sound deaden because the panels will rattle, especially the rear deck.

Still he'll probably have money to do it. Must be nice having buds with rich @ss parents!

Most you'll have to worry about is getting new panel clips just in case a few breaks when popping off panels. Or if they are the type that dont give a rats @ss about warnings (clipping distortion) and crank it up regardless just to show off. Then blame it on you. Give him a strict rundown and strict limits.

So I have A LOT of high school kids that want a system like mine now' date=' thank god for their rich *** families. We are doing 3 installs this coming week once the parts get in. Is this a normal thing that happens? How long do these hypes usually last? I don't over charge for parts I only tack on labor. Also, are there any consequences to doing these installs in your person experience? I am only buying high quality stuff, even for amps, if they don't want to spend more then $250 on an amp more then likely i'm not doing the install for them.
Off topic: Wednesday I am working on a 2014 Ford Mustang, what the **** is up with the trunk, I don't understand how to fit a box in there. You can't even go from the back seats because of the trunk support bar, anyone have any plans? Because I need to fit a SoundQubed HDS315 in there. If I do not have enough box room I am doing a single 12 (Custom making boxes like I have been doing). If anyone has had any experience with the 2014 mustangs fill me in because the back is shaped by satan himself.[/quote']

Can a hds315 really fit in a new mustang properly? They like big boxes. That trunk has to be tiny. A 12 would probably be better, or 2 10s. Build the box in the trunk if you can't find out how the fit it in already built.

Its big as any accord or camry trunk Just the opening.... dat sh*tty opening.

I could almost fit 2 of these in here. This box can push in where it's flush with the opening, giving me about 2 feet or more in front of it.

Still was thinking about the hds315 yeah, but if the 2, tens would be better on that crescendo i can lose a little $40 if it will get louder. i just didnt know because kf the rms and xmax being lower on that series

Pretty sweet idea of what you're doing. But like that guy said just be careful before these kids accuse you of breaking something then you end up losing your profit money to fix something you may or may not have done.

Highschool is definitely the place for systems.. I graduated a few years ago and our parking lot was always bumping.. Didn't sound good, everyone had super cheap walmart sh1t.. It's funny because I now work for the school and i've finally got something decent.

Back to what you said, yeah I have heard so many distorted kickers and pioneer subs around here, I can't handle it anymore, so I am doing this lol. I graduated last year, but I had some friends who introduced me to their friends. We sort of have a car club and me and two other guys are the "leaders" its really just a lot of people hanging out in a winndixie parking lot off the towns main road, we have like 13 people now, we talk about cars and audio and stuff. So I am teaching all of them about good brands and why you shouldn't cheap out. So hopefully it does explode and take off and I maybe can turn my town into loud good thumpin non-distorted bass.

For sure.. I was one of those guys. I had 2 kicker comps 12's on a Jl 250/1 or something like that.. Built a custom box in woodshop, it really didn't sound too bad.. Was louder than everyone elses..
