Car audio/drive in theater.

There barely any drive in theaters anymore. i remember going to them as a kid and they were so awesome but looking back. They didnt have any bass. Only in a home theater do you get the room shaking bass with an explosion. Wondering if any of you ever had decked out cars and went to the theaters and turned it up.

But my home system has 73" flat screen, 4 - 15" Pro Audio subs, 7 - 6.5" mids, 5 - 1 7/8" silk dome tweeters, 2 - 12" horns ..... and 2500w rms ....

So, I usually prefer to wait for movies to come out on Blu-ray ....

Times have changed, literally. I remember going to one which was nearby numerous times in the past.....it was nice paying for 2 movies for the price of one.

It's been gone now. They tore it down and there in its place resides a small hospital or clinic.

Now my kids will never now what a drive in theatre is...or experience it.

I went to one outside the Wisconsin Dells last summer, my son loved it. It was the first time I had been to a drive-in since I was a kid. It was a nice cool night, we watched the new Ninja Turtles movie, could only stay for one my son usually falls asleep at 7, so there was now way to keep him awake for a second movie lol.

The drive in theatre had a certain station on the radio to turn to so you can listen to the sounds from the movie straight thru your stereo....

Can't imagine now if they existed and many loud systems we got all over the place today!! There'd be fights hey turn yours down I can't hear mine....lol Well I cant help it if im louder than you haha!

Yeah I took my family to the drive in a few towns over. They have a station that broadcast the audio from the movie, so yeah I turned it up. Most people were sitting outside their cars on lawn chairs watching it. I parked towards the end away from people so I wouldn't bother others with my truck running and my system.
