car audio cabling set, starting all over...

I picked up a number of monster cable.. only to realize later that it's just a rip off.

I'm going to be able to return it without too much hassle.

So, recommend me high quality wire that is not a rip off. Should I go with monoprice.com .. or dish out a little more cash for something spiffier?

I need:

About 20 ft of 0 AWG.

40 FT of speaker and subwoofer cable.

O awg -> 4 AWG distribution block.

...Is there 2 AWG wire? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm getting some terminal from knukoncepts. Should I get their stuff?

The speaker wire - they seem to have 10, 12 and 14... should I just go with the thickest? Does it matter? I have two Pioneer CBTxxx speakers + 1 JL Audio 8" sub from a PG Octane Limited Edition amp..

Thanks in advance.

BTW: Can CL3 10AWG audio cable be used in a car..?

If you go with knukonceptz, know that their klmx and amp kits (I think for the most part) come with copper clad aluminum. I think their fleks and kolossus come with oxygen free copper. I got a tsunami 1/0 kit off of ebay that is oxygen free copper for a reasonable price as well. There are plenty of 1/0 kits whether it be tsunami, kicker, etc on ebay that can be had for just under 100 bucks.

I don't know how other people here feel about it, but I got all premium speaker wire and RCA's from monoprice.com. The price is amazing and if you go with the premium stuff, the quality seems really good to me as well. Much cheaper than most name brand stuff and seems to be made pretty well.

Thanks I notied that... I think I'll go with the oxygen free.

Ok, a few more question:

--What is "CL3 rated" is and is that only for in-wall installs? Is it a physical and not a quality classifications? Can it be used in car audio? Is it a bad idea..?

--Does anyone know if Monster 400 series cable is CCA? I purchased some and looking at it, I see what loks like stands of alluminum. Is that just the middle plastick thingy to hold the wires together? Is it even oxygen-free? I've seen ads saying it is, and others omitting that claim. I'm pretty much set on returning it.. but will really be motivated if I find out it's a piece of crap.

--Are the KLU premium RCA cables worth it...? Are they BETTER than the Monster 400 XLN's? I picked up a set of thse for about the same price, no wait, more of course!

--Would there be any reason NOT to get this distribution block wich seems way cheap compared to the others, and has lots of inputs/outputs?

Thanks all!

Look into Kicker amp kits.
They are some of the best wire you can buy, and they are not much more than Knu on EBay.

Do you feel they are better than this? From looking at the component layout.. I didn't get the feeling that they are...

BTW: I just realized that the distribution block listd above won't work. I ned at least 3 4 AWG out, and really could do wiht 4. I can't find a 4 4 AWG out though the Monster 3 4 AWG out seems decent and decent price.

..Looks like the JL Audio probably fits the bill the best.
