Car Audio Blasts Through Playboy Magazine

like most articles, and what i hate about them, is they always make the age old comparison...."40' from a jet is 140dB....20' away from a riffle is 150dB..." and so on. this is very deceiving to readers that are not in the loop. the biggest part they leave out is the frequency. 150dB of 38Hz is a lot different than 150dB of 15,000Hz. my car is no way near as loud as a jet...dB wise maybe....but not to the ear. human hearing has a peak in the middle of our hearing frequency which we are most sensitive to. and the general public, the readers, are associating the dB's with what they have heard in their lives because most don't even know what a dB meter is. don't get me wrong, i liked the article and thought it left a positive impression and may have cleared up some cloudy misconceptions for the public....but providing some basic knowledge on frequency sure would have been nice to see.
