only reason why i ever sold anything was to upgrade equipment. too many systems since 1993:crap:

i call it the 'ever elusive search' for the perfect sound, or at least that's what i tell the wife as she rolls her eyes and shakes her head. i've probably been through about 10 different systems, and thinking about a change up now. thinking about upgrading from 10's to twelves.

ive got about 10 years put into it.....i've blow aboutt a grand a year....

but finally in the last year i've gotten to a point to which i can actually say i'm happy and dont need anythign else major. if i could change anything it would be minor stuff, some of which is just out of my control being vehicle related issues.

god **** i love my art amps. trf still has some fixing to do and it'll hopefully be back in soon.

Nor have I had to sell for financial reasons but I jump around from computers to fishing to guns to motorcycles so I'll sell off a system to chase something else until I land back in car audio.

Same here. Never will either. Ill sell my kids before I sell my audio.

Only reason I've sold anything is to help pay for new stuff.

I spend way too much a year on this **** as well with building boxes, recones, and travelling for shows. Easily a couple grand a year on top of upgrading equipment.

Im actually thinking of selling my current system. Not because I need the money at the moment. the sh1tty thing is the amount of time, money, more time, more money and depreciation of gear. I have probably flushed about 5 grand in losses over 13 years

I watch my stepfather spending all kinds of money on hunting and tells me I waste time in Car audio. I like hunting, it's just not my hobby, I tell him. So I ask him to give up hunting and he says no, I tell him it's the same as hunting is to you.

^this. I don't spend money on TVs or anything else really. And usually when I sell off my equipment, I found someone locally that really likes it and gives me what I paid for it in the first place, lol

Not sure that's going to happen with the new build though....
