Car alarm/remote start wiring question

Once you find the wires and are ready to make connections do you just splice the alarm wires with the vehicle harness wires? I know you want to make them look as close to part of the vehicle as possible. I also have all the instructions, I was just curious about the splicing part. I don't want to have to go back and do things twice. Thanks for any info.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
