I am confused on how to charge and hook up capacitors. Also will a 1 fared cap be enough to handle a 2400 watt amp?

You'd be best off ditching the capacitor and doing the big 3. Since I know you probably don't know what it is, look in the wiring and electrical section of the forum. In a nutshell, the big 3 is cheaper and more effective for reducing voltage drops.
