Looks like i'm gonna have some extra money left over after my system gets wired and installed...do capacitors make a big enough difference for me to spend extra for one or should i keep the money in my pocket?

500W amp and 500W rms sub so it's not like it's a high powered system

Fo sho dawg run you a cap to make that system beat the block down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Off 500w you will be fine. Just do the big three (if you don't know what it is look it up) and you will be all set. Like said above if you have voltage issues you should invest in a battery instead. Caps are fine if all you listen to is music with just short bass kicks, but for anything continuous they become useless because of their high discharge rate and low storage capacity (basically the cap will discharge itself on long bass notes before the note is finished, essentially helping your voltage for only part of it and then dropping back down).
