capacitor help

check your voltage drop with a metter of somesort. if its not a big amount of dimming it should be fine. all so have your battery checked go to autozone. one of the tecs at walmart will have to do it. and most of the time there gona say 20 min or so. just go to autozone they can tell u in like 5 min or so.

have your truck looked at. for my car i get 14.3 well its running. with my lights on and ac on and wippers going i get 14.1 with the car being tested. thats just my car. i have a 70 amp alt and a stock ford batery. i only get dimming when i come to a stop.

i do understand for the most part. i was thinking he was driving around and geting down to the high 11 or so. thats not good for your alt and battery. and if u think thats fine thats ok. i guess the big 3 should work great for him. but if hes running a 100+ amp alt for the most part shouldint he be fine? he only got one sub. its what 150 rms or so. i just gota think out side of the box. here i dont think he need a 150 doller battery.
I think you should read more posts before posting advice...

No offense, but you should re-define your thought on how the electronics of a car work.

And as I said before, a Duralast Gold Series would work fine-- and like I said before I paid no more than $60 dollars for mine (not including the $15 dollar rebate for returning the core).

BTW-- Learn how to spell please.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

hey thats fine. i heard hes geting down to 11 as far as voltage goes. that not good. if u know so much is that good 11.0 or so with the car running and bass hitting? if thats fine then im good at 12.7 and my lights dimming. im really asking u that im not trying to be smart. im just dont want to see him buy a 150 doller battery. well thats me being nice. and we all know what happen last time. i guess ill never learn.

He doesn't have to buy a $150 dollar battery

I've said that so many times.

And generally anything lower than 12 isn't "good" but, in most cases isn't particularly life-shattering "bad".

$60 dollar batt + $60 dollar Big 3 = $120 Dollar electrical fix that will be good for the future if upgrades are wanted.

thanks for the helpful responses. im going to look into the big 3 upgrade and swapping the battery out by this weekend. thanks again.
