capacitor advice

I am thinking about buying a capacitor for my setup and I need a advice how big capacitor I should buy. And also what brands are good?

My setup is a Alpine SWX-1243D and a Alpine MRD-M1001

Don't waste your time and money on a cap, get a 2nd battery instead. A small Kinetik HC600 has 100 times the amount current storage than a 1 Farad cap. And a HC600 doesn't cost much on Ebay, there are a couple on Ebay today for $89.99 plus shipping.

Caps do almost no good in the system. What they do is basically help for a very short burst. Look into a better battery up front or a 2nd battery if you really have that much power going.

Also, Big-3 is FAR better than a cap. Search that.

X2, the Big 3 is the place to start before you add a battery or upgrade the stock one.

It's a lot cheaper on Ebay than this company, but it's a good place to look at the different models.

hmm I see... I did buy a bigger battery and that helped, but just not enough so that's why I thought a cap would be the next upgrade I need to do.

I have also heard about adding a bigger altenator, but isn't that really expensive?

If I add a second battery, how would I need to connect it to make it work? Do I need a second altenator for that?

1/2 farad vr3 capacitor will give you like an extra 200 Watts

Do the Big 3 first, then get a second battery if you still need it. You won't need a bigger Alt yet, but maybe in the future.
