The problem is, you didn't have your vehicle on.

If your vehicle is not on, the alternator is not charging the battery.

NEVER get a capacitor, they are worthless.

if i dont wanna do the big 3 couldnt i just get a cap and it would basically do the same thing??

i have this in a 88 escort EXP, with 2 12" MTX Terminator XS's and a Rockford Fosgate P450.2 amp..its in a bandpass box

its a hatchback with only two seats so its alot of open space and also should i have the subs facing me with the ports facing me or to the rear to get more dB's

for that kinda power you should be running 1-2 BTL 18s
