ok well lets say I got a 4-channel of 100x4rms @4ohm witch is 400rms watt amplifier and a 1-channel of 900x1rms @2ohm so its a whole system of ~1300watts RMS, what kind of capacitor is good for me? with stock alternator and battery of 1996 Nissan Maxima, should I change battery and alternator or only a good capacitor will do the job without the light dimming!!

do the big 3 with 0/1 gauge wire, get a good battery and if it dims you should probably get a HO alt.

Each half farad equals to 500 watts rms . So add up all your amps fuse ratings ,and then multiply times ten that equals your rms rating. TRE
