Definition

A capacitor has a value of one farad when one coulomb of stored charge causes a potential difference of one volt across its terminals. Its equivalent expression in SI base units is:

 
ok well lets say I got a 4-channel of 100x4rms @4ohm witch is 400rms watt amplifier and a 1-channel of 900x1rms @2ohm so its a whole system of ~1300watts RMS, what kind of capacitor is good for me? with stock alternator and battery of 1996 Nissan Maxima, should I change battery and alternator or only a good capacitor will do the job without the light dimming!!
