i was checking out that alt's.... say i go that route would i need the battery also or would one decent battery handle it with the HO Alt? what battery should i go with also....?

Cap is worse than useless. Long story short it will hold enough of a charge to power your amp for about a 20th of a second at full power then it's basically a resistor.
Get a good deep cycle battery as close as you can to the amp, search for and do a "big 3" upgrade.

another post from the idiot.. This site is so far behind the real world its ridiculous.. The big boys are running caps more and more all the time.. not the cheap *** caps.. the high end caps and they blow batteries completely out of the water... google it
