cap, good or bad?

i drive a 04 toyota tacoma and i am planning on gettin a optima yellow top and possibly the big 3. i am goin to have 2 alpine mrd-m605's. my question is would a cap be good enough where i dont have to do the big 3 or should i do the big 3 and not get a cap

The big 3 is cheaper than a cap and for a cap to do any good in a situation where one would possibly help, the big 3 is still needed to get any benefit from the cap.
