cap for amp.

i think im going to get a cap for my memphis 1000 watt amp. my lights are bouncing and dimming like he ll. im just curious, does brand really make that much of a difference, or just as long as it is the correct size, whether thats 1.5, 1.25, or 1.0, im not sure. but is it gonna matter whether i get a rockford cap or a lightning audio one?
