Cant turn my system up

I have this problem where I can only turn my system up to about 25 and then it cuts off (as in it turns off completly) and I have a jvc head unit and 25 is really not that loud. I think that it is a ground problem but sh*t I dont know where to even think to start with that.. Im not exactly a expert on car audio. So any advice would be great.

Personally, I think that the head unit is taking a crap. Sorry i cant help any more

That would be my guess...sounds like your head unit has a problem and is over heating.

I have had like 4 or 5 head units in there because thats what i thought it was 2

Yes I have put them in other cars and they all worked fine....so I think its a ground...but i dont know you guys are the experts...

I have a 1992 Eclipse GS. I mean I just blew the engine the other day and Im putting a brand new one in so hopefully will fix my problem but what do you think it is??

are you running speakers off the hu amp? did you run -em in parallel?might not be able to handle the load

it is definantly your ground the factory harness does not have a good ground right now your radio is using the antenna as ground but it will not support high volume therefore it is the ground
