Cant figure it out

A buddy of mine has 2 pioneer premeir subs on a memphis 1000d, and pioneer 1100 deck...now, the system will bump for a couple seconds, then cut out...checked the wiring, its good, wires in side box are good, all wires to amp are good and tite, amps not up to high...any suggestions??

what size power and groud is he running and is the ground solid? all paint scraped away screwed down tight, etc.

hes got 0 gauge for power...down sized to 4 gauge to fit in the amp...and 4 gauge ground..and yes all paint is scrapped away and solid

Double check the rca cable to make sure it is not clinched or going to ground. Does the amp have a protection or power led on it and if so what happens to the led when the system shuts down?

im kinda confused with what ur saying..but if this helps any, the system will bump..and a green light will be on...then i turn it up, it cuts out and a red light comes on.

MY friends car did the same thing, but he has two 10" xplods with a Kenwood 1800 watt amp to em. His would cut out then come back on when you turned down the bass and tunes. I told him to get a striker cap.
