Can't Decide, Need some help

Okay I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I need some help deciding what would give me the best bang for my buck. I'm looking to spend under $400.

Option 1: A single Alpine SWR-1242D (TYPE R) With a Alpine MRP-M500 Amp. And this enclosure Sonic Sub Boxes 1SV12-BLACK - 12" Ported and Vented Subwoofer Enclosures - Sonic Electronix Total cost: ~$350

Option 2 The Kenwood 500-watt Dual 12" Bass Package at Crutchfield. Kenwood 500-watt Dual 12" Bass Package Package includes KAC-8105D amp, two KFC-W3012 12" subs, and Sound Ordnance enclosure at Crutchfield.com This is also $350

Option 3 Any other ideas that are better then the two above

What I suggest is that stay here longer and read up on whats good.

But to start you off, prefab boxes ****.

Build or get someone to build you a custom box.

Secondly, get quality subs and quality amps.

I have been reading a lot lately, And yes I may consider a custom box. What is your idea of "quality subs and quality amps"?

save up for a few more months and spend a solid 600 on your system at least.. it will pay off in the long run.. i know it sucks to wait a few more months but trust me... some good brands for subs to look into are:

FI Car audio

Audioque

Sundown

DC

Some good amp brands are:

Audioque

Kicker ( wouldn't buy their subs but i loved my zx2500 )

just to name a few of each.. hope this helped

mine cost around 450-500 (substage).. but you can do similar and it doesn't have to be that much over 400.
